2013 NASH CUP Update – May 7th
The 2012/13 squash season is done, and the focus has begun to shift to the fall. Work on the 2013 Nash Cup began almost as soon as the 2012 event was complete and things are really starting to take shape.
The Players
- London Squash & Fitness champions Brad Hanebury and Paula Jenkins have each gained the right to a place in the qualification draw of 16. Brad has confirmed.
- Professionals from around the world have begun to confirm online. These entries are not fixed until August 6th, but they will give us a taste of what is to come. Below are some of the names (with country and world ranking in brackets)
- PSA: Joe Lee (England, 39); Julian Illingworth (USA, 55); Justin Beard (Australia, 105)
- WSA: Hollie Naughton (Canada, 92); Alix Younger (Canada, 94); Diana Elisa Garcia Fierro (Mexico, 101)
- Top players from the UWO Men’s and Women’s Teams…as well as an additional local PSA player who will be announced later in the summer.
Sponsors
- We are very pleased by the return of all our core sponsors to the 2013 event and the introduction of a number of new partners.
- The tournament is seeking additional silent auction items. Money raised goes back to squash through the Jesters University League, and the UWO squash programs.
