The NASH Cup

In 2008 the London Squash & Fitness Club (LSFC) made the decision to host a professional squash tournament. The growth it has seen over the past 16 years has been beyond anything we had hoped, and it continues to get bigger.

2012 was a breakout year as we launched this event website, Facebook, and twitter presences. For the first time the global squash community was getting live updates from the NASH Cup anywhere in the world. In 2013 we introduced live online scoring. In 2015 live streaming of matches on the main court. In 2017 live streaming of matches on both courts. In 2022 we expanded to a 3 camera system on the main court and added live commentary. In 2024 the NASH Cup will advance to the PSA World Tour and launch a secondary men’s Challenger event focused on developing local talent.

As has constantly been the case, 2023 saw a strong professional draw; matches that lasted over 90 minutes; and capacity crowds. For the first time the NASH Cup had two Canadian Champions.

The 2024 NASH Cup has been registered as a $25K World Tour tournament for the first time. Men’s and Women’s purses will be equal.

The tournament was able to raise $9,000 to support of University Squash programs 2022. London is blessed with the strongest university squash programs in the country. The UWO men’s squash team has been top of the Canadian rankings for 39 consecutive years. As of January 2024 they were ranked 15th amongst US Colleges (CSA). The UWO women’s squash team is second only to Queens in total victories. As in the past, top players from both programs will vie for entry into the 2024 NASH Cup.

Bringing this world class event to London takes a dedicated committee of volunteers; supporters who purchase their tickets well in advance; members who openly share their club; and sponsors who recognize the value of being involved in an event of this caliber.
