NASH Cup Family: Player Feature
Nikki Todd
Canada
NASH Cup 2013-2023
Nikki Todd started playing in the NASH Cup before the women’s draw even existed. She came to London Squash to compete in the amateur draws and build support to expand the tournament. She was the only woman to compete in the first 10 consecutive years and is known for her outgoing personality and wonderful smile. Nikki always participated beyond the actual tournament jumping into Challenge Matches; Lightning Matches; and the Doubles Calcutta (even when she still had a game to be played). While a NASH Cup title was evasive, Nikki made the semi-finals three times and the quarter finals five.
NASH Cup Memories
“…my favourite tournament every year and one I have always made sure was on my calendar. The reason is solely the community at the club, Jenn and Ron (my billets since day one), Laurie’s paninis, and the incredible organizing make this tournament a success. Ever since my first Nash Cup (even before it was a women’s PSA) it has felt like I’m playing at my home club, and it has only gotten better since. “
Impact on LSFC – Member Memories
“My best memories of Nikki are the impromptu nights out that include credit card roulette, the mornings when I wasn’t sure who had made it home and the Casa Duncan initiation!” – Jennifer Duncan
Life after NASH Cup
Currently assistant Squash Professional at the Toronto Cricket Club and competing on the SDA (pro doubles tour). Has been ranked world #1 but notes that was not good enough for an invite to LSFC’s March Madness. Maybe the coming year? Continues to compete in singles for Team Canada but less PSA. Hoping to be back for Nash Cup in 2025!
