Get to Know….The 2017 Canadian Men
For the second consecutive year the NASH Cup has attracted the top five Canadian Men and top six Women – basically making the event a team training session to start the season. Shawn Delierre – rank 80
Shawn is one of the fittest players on the PSA World Tour and has, incredibly, appeared in three of the top five longest squash matches ever recorded. He won his first title at the Quebec Open Classic in 2004 and grabbed his fifth at the Goodlife Squash Open in 2006. The Canadian won three consecutive PSA World Tour titles in 2010 with his 10th title coming on home-soil at the Nash Cup in September 2011. Shawn has now been in 27 finals and claimed 16 titles…the most recent of which was this past February at a $10K in Atlanta.
In January 2015 he played a mammoth 170 minute semi-final clash with Leo Au in the Gas City Pro-Am in making headlines as it broke the record for being the longest match ever recorded.
This will be Shawn’s 6th NASH Cup. He’s got at least 3 more events in 2017 starting at White Oaks in October.

Mike McCue – rank 90
This will be Mike’s 5th NASH Cup. For the second year in a row he’s coming in as the second seed in the qualifier. Mike’s been climbing the PSA rankings since 2010 and reached a level of 87th this past April.
Mike has made tournament finals 4 times and is still hunting for his first title. The NASH Cup field is strong, but we have often seen players from the middle of the pack work their way to the top.
Mike is from Sudbury but lives and trains in the sunny south (Toronto) with Jonathan Power and Jamie Hickox. From London Mike is hoping to continue to San Francisco. He’s currently second reserve at the Net Suites. He is confirmed for at least 3 more events through the end of 2017.

Andrew comes from Calgary and lists his brother Graeme as his coach. The two were gold medal finishers in the Pan-Am Games along with Shawn Delierre.
Andrew has already picked up a PSA title in 2017 winning a $10K purse in Calgary and is looking to add more. He’s had 6 final’s appearances and has won 4 of them. Andrew is entered in 4 more events over the next two months.
